This article is about the EY Catalyst Client Admin Console.
Important: Generic user accounts can be created in situations where users do not have personal email addresses. There are risks associated with this and the functionality is only enabled on request.
The following limitations and restrictions apply:
- Users cannot be notified automatically by the system.
- Users password credentials must be communicated via external means by the client administrator.
- Users cannot automatically reset their own passwords.
- If a user is locked out of their account, they will need to contact their client administrator to unlock it.
- The system can only track account activity via the username.
- Select the Users tab.
- Select the Actions button (cog).
- Select Create user without email address.
- Enter the required details.
- Read the warning message and select Acknowledge Warning.
- Select Save or select Cancel to abandon the action.
- The Create Password for User dialog box opens.
- Enter a password, confirm the password and then select Save.
- Search for the user in the Users list.
- Create application identities for the applications that the user should have access to.
- Notify the user of their username and password.
- The user can change their password once logged in, if desired.
