This article is about the EY Catalyst Smart Daily Management application.
- Launch the Quality Incident Elimination module; or select the hamburger button in the top menu panel and select Daily Management > Quality Incident Elimination.
- Select Triggers. Ensure that you have selected the correct asset from the context menu.
- Select +Criterion.
- Quality is automatically selected from the Type drop-down list.
- Enter a name for the quality trigger criterion in the Trigger Criteria box.
- Assign the criterion an order in the quality incident elimination process by entering a numerical value in the Sequence box. By default, the criterion is assigned the next available number in the sequence based on the existing list of CILs.
- Choose whether the trigger is a yes/no criterion or needs to be compared to a KPI. By default, the Yes/No option is selected. To create a comparison trigger, perform the following steps. Otherwise, skip to Step 8.

- Select Comparison.
- Enter a name or description for the KPI in the KPI box.
- Choose whether the KPI needs to trigger a quality incident if it is greater than, less than, and/or equal to a set number. To do this, select the appropriate option from the Evaluation Comparison drop-down list.
- Enter a target number for the KPI in the Evaluation Target box.
- To create a mitigation strategy for the criterion, select Add Mitigation. In the Mitigation Strategy page, you can specify one or more mitigation strategies for the criterion. To add each mitigation strategy, enter the relevant actions in the Mitigation Strategy box and select Add. To apply a mitigation strategy to the criterion by default, select Default.
- Once you have added all the mitigation strategies, select Save Changes.
- Provide a weighting for the criterion by entering a numerical value in the Weighting Score box.
- Select Save Changes to add the trigger criterion.
